- Remarkable Cooling Efficiency – A highly efficient hermetic compressor, specially designed and developed by Panasonic, is utilized to provide powerful and rapid cooling to maintain proper temperature levels.
- Effective Temperature Control – A thermistor sensor monitors temperature inside the chamber, while the microprocessor and electronic temperature controls ensure that the set temperature is maintained. During frequent door openings, the circulation fan provides rapid temperature adjustment.
- Cycle Defrost System – Defrosting is performed automatically during compressor ‘off’ cycles and by sensing frost levels. This method of defrosting is performed only when required, further protecting the contents against unnecessary temperature increases.
Panasonic’s plenum design features uniform cold air flow distribution throughout the chamber to ensure temperature uniformity – essential for validated storage requirements. A highly efficient hermetic compressor is further utilized to provide powerful and rapid cooling to maintain proper temperature levels.
Panasonic’s Cycle Defrost System
Defrost cycles are performed automatically during compressor ‘off’ cycles by sensing frost levels. This way defrosting is performed only when required, further protecting the contents against unnecessary increases in temperature. The defrosting heater also acts as an emergency heat source to prevent samples from freezing in extremely low ambient temperature conditions (below 0°C).
Safety and Alarm Controls
If the inside temperature descends below 0°C or increases above 15°C the buzzer alarm will sound and the digital temperature display will flash. If the internal temperature reaches below -2°C or above 20°C, the low and high temperature safety devices prevent the contents of the refrigerator from freezing or the temperature from rising abnormally while the visible and audible alarms are activated. Comprehensive set-point, alarms, monitoring and diagnostic functions are controlled by the microprocessor controller with a digital display of all input/output functions. The adjustable temperature range is from 2°C to 14°C.
